I am interested in getting into the new less deflection shafts. I was considering a Predator Z for my Pechauer but I have heard from too many people about a warpage problem with that shaft so I was considering getting a McDermott Arizona with the additional I-3 intimidator shaft. Has anyone used one of these shafts and if you have, what are your thoughts? I have never owned or played with a McDermott cue, what is the quality like? I live about 3 miles from the factory but, of course, I can't buy or even see one there.
For Seyberts...How long will this configuration take to receive? I see that when you select additional shaft and pick the intimidator there is an option to have a moori tip installed, I thought these shafts came standard with Moori, am I wrong about that? Can I use the Seyberts bucks on the extra shaft?
Thanks one and all..

I can comment on McDermott quality. It is excellent, from the fit and finish down to the grain of the wood. I have been very happy with my Alpha C152 as a break cue. I have a 13.5mm standard shaft and I topped it with a phenolic tip.

The McDermott Intimidator shafts lookpromising, the i3 has less defelction than a 314, however, the Z still has less than that. From the looks of it on seyberts webiste it says that it will be awhile before you can get one. For whats its worth, the 314 has less deflection than the other two Intimidator shafts..

i am curious where everyone gets their info from, because everybody says something different, this is the only "neutral" testing company i have seen stats for, is there any others, because i would like to see them.

mcdermott is a great cue. they hands down have the best warantee which covers warpage. im considering getting an i shaft because of that. cant go wrong with a mcdermott.

Huh...could have sworn the other day it had less deflection, but i retract my statement...its close to the 314, and the rest are farther behind.

The 314 shaft is the first shaft that addressed the deflection issue with success, the 314 is the reference point to all other shafts and it's the only shaft that stood in the test of time, it's been around for almost 10 years and has proven itself, all the other shafts are things of the last year of two, if you think about it you are the guinea pigs of those companies and you're paying high dollar for it, unless you get those shafts at a price of a regular shaft or less, let others be the guinea pigs and wait for a better evaluation of these products after they have been on the market for 5 - 6 years, until then go with what has proven it self get a 314
