Is the P2 really worth the extra $250-$300 over a Predator Sneaky Pete in terms of performance/feedback? I'm really interested in hearing some of your opinions, since I read them almost everyday.

yes!!!! i have a p2 and i love the smooth hit. i dont care for the wood to wood sneaky pete. never felt right... go for it.
I didn't feel any difference between the P2 and my predator cue, they were both balanced the same, both with 314 shaft and both with talisman pro med. tip.
I didn't just had a few hits with the P2, I borrowed it to a tournament night in a format that in the first stage the players were divided into groups that played round robin, I won 6 out of 7 games, finished the group first, the P2 felt exactly like my cue except for the ultra-leather grip.
I have an old predator cue with a 5/16 X 14 joint and the balance of this cue is different then the new Predator cues, the new cues are more heavy toward the joint so it may feel different then the P2 but if you get it balanced the same it will feel the same.
The sneaky pete has a wood to wood joint that may feel different also.
All of the above is about feel, but when it comes to playability they will play the same.

I have tried other Predator - 2k1, 3k1, Sneaky Pete and many other Cues by other manufactures, and one custom Cue)
I purcahse a use P2 (http://www.predatorcues.com/p2)
and the feel/hit/balance - is still the best I ever tried.
I "finally" feel - that I found the perfect cue for Me.

the p2 has a really soft hit like a meucci. it feels more solid to me. i have shot with a 4k1 and i noticed a difference in the hit and feel. its not like the p2.

I'm leaning towards the P2 (Metallic Black) for a few reasons.
It has the phenolic lined joints on the butt and phenolic cushioned inserts on the shaft,
which probably gives it better feedback.
I believe that this feature is different that the standard Predators.
Maybe Neil can confirm or deny this.
You can see the differences of the P2 shaft in the pictures here http://www.seyberts.com/cues/predator/shafts/314shafts/index.htm
I currently shoot with my friend's Schon, which I believe has something similar http://www.schoncues.com/html/about_our_cues.html.
I also like the all black look with the steel butt cap,
but I'm not sure how I feel about the fairy sparkles though.
There are a few things that I don't like about the P2, though.
It costs twice as much as a sneaky for a cue that essentially performs the same,
although it might feel better.
I'm not entirely sold on the idea of the spliced butt.
I feel that it is a marketing gimmick and adds unnecessary cost to the cue.
I could use that money to get a Predator BK or an Instroke case!

you cant even notice the sparkles. p2 is about performance not looks. if youre buying a cue based on looks, you can get a lucasi for $300

That's what Neil said, too.
Who knows ... I might like the "Porsche" finish.
I wish I could shoot with a P2 before I decide to buy it.
I have shot with my friends SPJLW, though.
p2 is about performance not looks.
Konur, I couldn't agree with you more.
I want the best cue (that I can afford) in terms of performance and quality.
I really don't care what it looks like.
I'm just trying to figure out if the boost in performance/feel with the P2 is worth the cost of another stick.

Lucasi's have been a hot topic as of late.
