I just received my VP3 game today. I have played the demo before. Now I have a full copy of it that can be patched. I should go install it and check it out.
Does anyone else have the game? If so, what do you think of it?
I have the old version with Jeanette Lee, I used to hooked on this game and play for hours, I had win98 runing at that time, when I upgraded to win2K and XP, the graphics wasn't that good, it could be a problem of the monitor card (old voodoo 3) but I never got to check it and I'm not into it anymore :?

Yeah...I don't believe this is the Jeanette Lee version. However, the graphics are as good as when I played the game on Windows 98. I have an ATI Radeon 9200 Sapphire card with 64MB RAM in this computer. It works okay. I used to have a Gainward GeForce4 Ti4200 with 64MB RAM, but it took a dump for some reason.

Skor,
Do you know why Jeanette Lee no longer endorses VP3? Just curious.
Thanks,
Erik

My children have gotten me Virtual Pool 1 & 2. I installed 1 tried it out for a half an hour and decided I would rather spend the time doing just about anything else. Although an occasional video/computer game comes along that that does offer me some entertainment I have haven't been really captivated by a game since the first Zelda for the original Nintendo.

LOL, so you're just not that much into video games anymore. I understand that! I love video games, but I love to shoot pool a lot more than play video games! I want to say that video games are a fun way to spend some time for a lot of people, me being one of them. :D

I have VP2, and it is okay. I much prefer playing on a real table though. I am totally not into computer/gamebox games at all. However, I have acquired a copy of Doom 3, and do plan to play it a bit..

I have PS2 and love it I have like 50 games but my favorite games were like dags said the original nintendo games. I have been waiting for a game like Zelda for too long. Although i could probibly go out and buy a nintendo and 50 games for the price of 1 PS2 Game. that is insanity. funny thing is i would rather have nintendo anyway. just never got around to it.

Doom, one of the very first PC first person shooters. Followed by Doom II, Ultimate Doom, Doom 95, and a few other variations, was always one of my favorite games. It was fast paced 3D shooter action. Duke Nukem was nice, a little more humorous, but the graphics were not as good.
When Quake came out I played it a little, this is years ago though. Quake was probably the last 3D shooter I played, and probably about 5 years ago. I played about an hours worth of Max Payne, and it was alright, I am just not into it..
However with Doom 3, it has a foundation that I enjoyed. A storyline, and the creatures you fought were always cool.. I think a big reason I look forward to it, is because of the good memories I have of the original Doom. Also, idSoftware pioneers great things. And after years of waiting, we have another version of Doom. I think it trumps the competition in every way. It makes all the games made in the past 5 years, look like an original Atari game..
All this considers you like 3D shooter to begin with though... If you do, Doom 3 is the best release ever...
