The Aviator

Has anyone seen The Aviator? I went and saw it tonight. It wasn't too bad. It wasn't as good as I thought it would be. It was a little dull and boring at times. I think the most dramatic scene was near the beginning when all the planes were flying through the air. I felt like I was in one of them.

I used to go see movies, but since i got to college its been a serious nay no....oh well, i havnt seen that movie, the last one i saw was team america....what a great movie.

I've seen it last week (thank you e-mule :twisted: ) it has some great footage and camera tricks but other then that I agree with you.

Zach used to be our movie critic, he went to 2 - 4 movies a week and then post reviews on this board

The new theatre around here will be done in the coming months...so for now i have to find a movie going mate (perferably single hot female)....so until the theatre is done ill just go searching for single attractive females...that or shoot alot more pool.

Seriously, I have not been out to the movies in probably close to a year. I just don't like spending 8 bucks a ticket, 5 buclks for a tub of popcorn, and 4 bucks for a soda.. It is totally ridiculous and would much rather just wait and purchase it on iControl (cable companies on demand video rental).

Yeah, I have done that with a few movies. Last one was Resident Evil 2, which while I do love Milla Jovavich, I can't see myself paying to watch that movie...

Seriously, I have not been out to the movies in probably close to a year. I just don't like spending 8 bucks a ticket, 5 buclks for a tub of popcorn, and 4 bucks for a soda.. It is totally ridiculous and would much rather just wait and purchase it on iControl (cable companies on demand video rental).

I agree with you on this one. We went because we were given tickets as a gift for Christmas. However, we did spend about $8 on two drinks. That is absolutely ridiculous IMHO. I could have bought two 20oz pops/sodas at the store for a couple bucks. It was almost $4 per drink at the theater. It would have been almost $30 for two people if we had to buy the tickets. That is a lot of pool on a bar table, even a few hours at the pool hall. Oh well! We don't get out that often.

thats the trick, if you play these things smart you hit a gas station for candy and cokes and spend a grand total of $2.50 then stuff it in your pockets. works like a charm.

We've done this before. We were in such a hurry last night we didn't have time to stop at the store. It's our own fault I guess. Oh well! And we always sit in the very back of the theater...highest point. Then no one can see us eating the store bought items. Not only that, but you don't have people sitting behind you and the view is great. You don't have to kink your neck either. hehehe
