View Full Version : Improving New Master Chalk?

Is there any way to make Master green stick to the tip better? After having used Willard shaper, tapper, and porcupine tip tool, it still doesn't cover the tip evenly...

I read somewhere to bake the chalk before usage? Or how about wetting the chalk?

I don't think wetting the chalk would be wise. Unless you're giving the chalk to your opponent. :)

Don't drill the chalk onto the cue, brush it on... Like Bob Byrnes says in his video, Chalk your cue like a woman would put lipstick on her lips...

Where do you live ?
Is it hot or cold weather?, is it dry or humid?
Maybe you should try the triangle chalk or the sivler cup chalk, they might suit your playing condition better then the Master chalk.

I've used the green chalk from time to time and it does not hold to the tip as well. I think it the nature of this color.

To achieve different colors of chalk different materials are used. It’s not just food coloring. The general consensus amongst the better players in my area, and I agree, is that the green Master Chalk works the best.
