I ready to get my first jump and break cues.

Are there any conflicts on desired specs between cues which perform the two different tasks ? I am wondering if a Jump/Break cue compromises either shot.

Break cue tip .... phenolic. Will that also be ok for a jump cue ?
Shaft flex ...... Flexible for a break I would think. Same for a Jump cue ??

And speaking of shaft flex ....
A Predator is a laminated shaft, so it would be much stiffer than solid maple. Why doesn't a stiff shaft cause more deflection, not less ? If it does not give, you would think the ball would and thus deflect more. No ??

Thanks for your time.

- phenolic tip would work great for jumps and breaks.
