A friend strongly recommeded McDermott, I pruhcased the gentry 20oz, The cue is absolutely awesome, but one thing i noticed was the shaft has a very slight up and down in the taper part of the shaft when i roll it across the pool table, but when you stand directly over the shaft and roll it, it looks perfectly straight, is this a warped shaft an uneven taper or normal. 8) My next purhcase i definitely see a McDermott Knight on the Horizon.

That is not at all uncommon. If you lay your head on the table and look under the cue while rolling it you will find that to be the case with a lot of shafts. What you don't want to see is the tip come off the table when rolling the cue.

I thought that would be normal behavior for a shaft but i just wanted to check, This is my first cue of this quality and im being super critical of every little detail. Any other advice on do's and don'ts would be greatly appreciated, Thank you for your time to reply. 8)

Thank's dags_lax and audiopro for pointing out that's typical for a shaft.
Best regards wildcard.
