As far as I can tell both are the base cue for each company. Both have close to the look that I want. The Pechauer is almost $175 dollars cheaper. The Schon is the base cue for the STL serious and every cue of this serious is basically the STL 1 only with more inlays, so I'm very sure that it will be a good cue. The Pechauer I'm just not sure about, I'm afraid that they may be lacking in quality since they make so many other high end cues. I already have a Lucasi and I'm looking to step up in quality not get basically the same cue with just another company's name on it. Any thought would be appreciated.

both are good cues.
they are a step up from the Lucasi and are much better made.
I like the Schon better, but I might be a little biased.
I prefer the stiffnes of the Schon shaft to the Pechauer.
You will find it easier to get a Pedator shaft for the Schon as the joint is easily obtainable and the ringwork will match.
Do you want to spend the extra money. Is it worth the extra money.
Try both and then choose the one you like.

Can't go wrong with either cue. Neither Pechauer nor Schon makes cues for other companys, what exactly do you mean?

I think he meant that he didn't want to get a new cue that will play like the lucasi (paying more for something that plays the same)

BTW, if you are looking to fit a predator shaft, you might want to consider the option of just getting a Predator shaft for the lucasi, since looks is not something you care for (going for basic models),
all 3 cues (lucasi, pechauer and schon) will play the same once you have a predator shaft on it.
