Ok Ok Ok here's one....this is how I dressed up for halloween at work.

You can't read the shirt well but it says "Stupid Factory. Where you were made". So thru the day, I looked gothic, and even had gothic `tude. I also had a tongue ring (Yes it was real) but I no longer have it.

Picture 2 to be coming - My friend is bringing it hopefully today.

Note the black fingernail polish also.. You pulled off the goth look quite well!!

Deb

LOL Yes he would be happy :)

Why thank you audiopro....it was nice not having to do up the hair however, as my sister was in town and she's an hairdresser so she just grabbed rubber bands and put em up like that. I didn't have to worry about hair lookin neat and all. I think next year I'll just show up in my pj and be "Dragged out of bed just to work" My hair is a fright in the a.m.

You don't have to be good to hustle, just better than your opponent.

Skor: I see you still have that same watch band that is color coordinated to your Predator Break Cue.

Zach is Mika, Mika is Zack! His comment about not being good enough to hustle, well he is just setting all of us "marks" up for the hustle. Zack has been setting this up since he joined the board in February but now, thanks to Skor, Zack's evil plot fleece us is not going to work. We all owe Skor beer. Thanks Skor.

This is really funny! I can't help laughing.

Hey, don't I get any beer for saying how much he looks like Mika? 8O

Even my wife gasped that he looked like Mika. (She plays somewhat, too.)

I, too, pictured skor to be smaller but not older.

Yeah, I am not sure how that was overlooked.. You definitely pioneered this truth being brought to light.. Not bad at all for the new guy!! Good call indeed!!

One more beer for me, then I am going to bed... Really.. I promise... No more after that....

I, too, pictured skor to be smaller but not older.

I actually had him pictured pretty close, however I remember many details from this forum such as the grip.jpg (http://earth.sitepros.net/seyberts/grip.jpg) pic, in which dags happened to also pickup on his Predator matching watch... Either way, Skor and dags are the two here that would likely wipe the table with most of us..

Not going out tonight, audio?

I am tonight, though. Going to check out a new pool place. Plenty of tables and plenty of good looking... uh.. people. :) (Wish I have my P2 already.)

Nah, I dont go out much these days... It is a 45 minute drive to civilization for me. When I had little to worry about that was no problem. But I am getting older and have things that need attention.... My house, yardwork, my pup... And I like to hit the wrenches and work on the car every now and then and get that extra tenth out of the quarter mile times...

Besides, I have everything I need at the house. I bought a very nice table off a team-member, so my pool addiction is covered also. And man, let me tell ya.. I use Microsoft Money to track my expenses.. Back when I was going out every night, my reports would typically show $1000 to $1500 spent monthly in "Going Out". What a huge difference it makes in what ya save by staying in!!! :)

skor
11-13-2004, 12:03 AM
I wouldn't go out either if I had that blond (from your picture) at home ;)

The cue is retired in it's own case at the moment, but I plan to frame it and hang it.
The pros on the cue are:
Alex Pagulayan, Hui-Kai Hsia, Ching-Shun Yang, Steve Davis, Mika Immonen, Ralf Souquet, Thorsten Hohmann, Nick van den Berg, Tony Drago, Francisco Bustamante, Efren Reyes, Ramil Gallego, Marcus Chamat, Johnny Archer, Rodney Morris, Earl Strickland, Charlie Williams, Danny Harriman, Nick Varner, Corey Deuel, Sandor Tot and Mark Williams
22 of them all together, I could have gotten more but after two days I was too lazy to keep chasing players :)

here is some photos of it

You're right about the going out thing. I, too, used to go out a lot before I was married. Now I like to spend more time with my baby daughter (and wife, of course). Less costly but more fun. :D

But I still schedule a few nights in a week to play pool so as not to get rusty. 8)

skor, you have a priceless cue there! What cue is that, by the way? Meucci?

audiopro
11-13-2004, 10:03 AM
Wow Skor, that is a real nice collection of signatures. However I am curious....

Did ya have to smack Strickland over the head with the cue before he would sign it?!?? :)

skor

No, it's a cheap cue that I bought at one of the booths at the tournaments, I took this one because it was the brightest in color so it had more room for signatures then the other cues that were available for what I was willing to pay for a cue that I won't be using.

LOL :D
This is how it goes with Earl, when he wins his match then he's acting as a cool, fun person BUT if he loses you better get out of his way, at one of th matches that he lost, a kid with a broken arm asked him to sign his cast and he refused, I was ready to punch him right there ;)
I got his signature on the first day of the event before the matches started so he was approachable at the time, but still he was bitching about all the other player that didn't give him time at the practice tables.

LOL!

I guess he really is what you say he is. I read somewhere that he is actually a good person since there was an event where he would play with anyone for some bucks and give the proceeds to charity. Maybe guilt got to him that time. 8O

Anyway, refusing the kid's request was really low.

Who's your favorite player there? (Among the ones who signed your cue.)

skor
11-13-2004, 12:51 PM
Alex is the funiest player in the world and I like his game too, his game is very aggressive, he'll take shots when most players will play safe, No one knows the table and the rails better then Efren, if you'll ever come a cross a shot that you think that it can not be made, Efren will find a way, I've learned alot from watching him play, I also like Busti and Johnny Archer, If I'll have to pick a player that I think that my game (the way I choose my shots and think) is most resemble to, it's Rodney Morris, although I'm not in his level, when ever I watch him play, he always did what I thought that I would do.

cebuboy
11-13-2004, 01:18 PM
Ever since I was a kid there was only one player I looked up to: Efren Reyes. I really like the way he plays. I've been trying to duplicate his pool table manners (except for the nose picking :) ) whenever I play.

You're right about him. No one knows the table and rails better than he does. Do you already know why he's called "Bata" (translation: kid)?

skor

Do you already know why he's called "Bata" (translation: kid)?

IS THIS A QUIZ :?:

EFREN REYES WAS born Aug. 26, 1954, in Mexico, Pampanga. He is the middle son of nine children - five boys and four girls.
His family was poor and his father worked as a barber. When Efren was five years old, his family sent him to stay with his uncle, who owned the Lucky 13 pool hall in Avenida, Manila. Efren was put to work as a billiard attendant. This is where he picked up the nickname "Bata" (The Kid).

cebuboy
11-15-2004, 05:10 AM
Not really. :D Just a bit of trivia actually.

You almost got it. He got the nickname "bata" or kid because there was another good, older player in that same pool hall named Efren and whenever someone comes around challenging Efren, people would ask, "the kid or the old guy?" :D
