The IQ numbers were originally attributed to the book "IQ and the Wealth of Nations", though they do not appear in the current edition. The tests and data were administered via the Raven's APT, and the The Test Agency, one of the UK's leading publishers and distributors of psychometric tests. This data has been published in the Economist and the St. Petersburg Times, though this does not mean it should be taken as fact. Though the data does correlate somewhat to IQ of students per state based on SAT/ACT data, though this would be biased for those that had completed a high school education. Someone has also taken 2000 census

Funny, when looking at the demographics from state to state I found that the more education and more money someone made the more Republican they tended to be.

Wisconsin with an average IQ of only 100? I would have thought that just my IQ alone would be enough to to put our state at the top of the list. On the other hand Mrs. Dags just might say that it is my fault that Wisconsin is only at 100.

Kerry's strongest demographic was white males with with annual incomes over $100,000.

And this from the Christian Science Monitor:

Significantly, one of the few demographics where Democrats seemed to expand their hold was among highly educated voters, even as Republicans gained ground among the less-educated.

For the first time in history a president with an approval rating consistently under 50% was elected. Despite the fact that a majority of Americans feel that the country is headed in the wrong direction the incumbent was elected. Elected despite an economy that is in worse shape than when he took office.

A lot of Americans put aside the issues of national security, Iraq, terrorism, deficits, and the economy when they got to the ballot box. For those voters God, Guns, and Gays were the issues and the is what carried the day for the Republicans.

What is sad to me is that all of those brilliant democrats and they failed to even get their nominee into office.

Ok, now let's see some more posts which only try to serve to ease the pain of losing the biggest election in history.

Cant you all drop it? Its over.....its done, history, does the poster need to make themselves feel better because their candidate was not elected?

From what I have seen, it appears that the "Vote or Die" and "Rock the Vote" campaigns were not very successful, as the younger voters did not turn out in the numbers expected -- in fact, they were around the same percentages as in 2000.

Young, 18-25yrs, voters are always the worst to turn out for an election.
