I hate the red/burgundy chalk, it turns my fingers red. The blue/green doesn't seem to do that. What effect would using blue chalk have on burgundy cloth? Would it leave stupid blue streaks?
I know this is a stupid question.....

Yeah, it may make the dots and streaks a bit more noticable.. Maybe... However it may be worth it. Burgandy is actually a pretty dark color, and perhaps would hide the blue or green chalk decently.. I would give it a try, worst case it creates more noticable dots.. They can be brushed out, or if needed a wet rag can be used to wipe them down a bit.. Then ya switch back to burgandy...
I use Blue chalk no matter where I go.. Unless requested not to..
I use brown or tan chalk.that way the shaft of my cue does not turn green or blue.

I use the brown also.....much easier to clean....m
I've got a redish colored cloth and switched to blue chalk along time ago because I didnt like having a pink shaft. The area I break from will start to look purple after a while, a long while. When that happens I use a small shop vac to clean the table. It's probably not the proper cleaning method but it takes the blue out so that you cant tell that area of the table from anyother. I dont know what color the red and brown would make but its got to be better then purple.

I have Red felt on my table (wouldn't have been my choice but the table was a gift from my wife, so I dare not complain). I switched to Masters Red because the other colors left marks on my felt and I spent far too much time cleaning my felt.
I've read a lot of posts here about the consistancies of different colored chalks, but I like the consistancy of Masters Red just fine. My only complaint would be the pinkish hue it casts on the ferrule and shaft end.
I also use my own Masters Red in my league play. If I use house chalk I don't as nice coverage and also because of the mix of colors have a hard time seeing if I've got my tip fully chalked.

I use Masters blue chalk on my burgundy table and discovered it actually shows **much** less than red or burgundy chalk!! I think it's because the blue is darker and, therefore, actually harder to see on the table.
