what's the difference in the 3 piece butt and 1 piece butt balance. is it noticeble? how does it affect your game? could someone explain bc i can't decide if i should just get a genesis stick or one of those metalx pro series ones.

Honestly I think both variables you have in question are subjective. What balance point I like and how it affects my game, are likely different than some others...

I think the best bet would be to try get your hands on them both and see which one ya like better...

I have 1 of each. I personally think the three piece has a bit of a heavier feel even though both of my sticks way 19 oz

The balance point is more toward the butt-end of the cue with the 3 piece.

I like the balance point to be about where I grip for most shots.

You wouldn't like a steel jointed cue then.

I didn't the few I've tried.

I do think I might like an SS jointed break cue though.

I wish I could try a Viking #3 somewhere.

Unless you have very short arms, say like a 10 year old, you are going to have a difficult time finding a cue that meets that need

Well maybe I should define "about".

On my Viking with a 314 the balance point is just in front of the wrap and everything else seems to farther forward.

Perhaps I should have said I prefer the balance point to be farther back.
