Been meaning to make a comment about trying this tip...but have not had a lot of time to get back on the board here. I have been a Talisman Pro fan since I tried them a couple of years ago....but decided to empty my wallet a couple months back and give a Moori Med a chance. I really like the hit I get and it seems to grab much better than the Talisman....I am so convinced....I'm going to go Moori again next time.....I think it is worth the bucks....Just hope it will last as long as the Talisman.....I just remember saying that I would never spend that amount on a new tip....Crow really isn't that bad if it is grilled 8) mike
Glad you changed to Moori,I like them a lot.
I changed from a mediun to a soft recently and prefer the hit.
The tip usually lasts me about eight months to a year.
best wishes,
Sanj

I actually just switched back to talisman tips from Mooris. I really like hard tips and the Moori Q just wasn't hard enough. They play great but they just don't feel right. Though I gotta say you really can't go wrong with a moori unless you like a really hard tip.

Well the tip is the business end of the cue. I think it is the most important part!
A lot of money goes into the butt and design of many cues, but for some reason, many players balk at paying much of anything for a quality tip.
So what is $20 as compared with $200 for a cue?
Your next step should be to keep the tip shape the same. Experiment with an old cue and put a quarter shape on the tip. Then try a draw shot.
Next try a dime shape and draw.
I get the best draw with a dime shape, but with play, your tip will compress and slowly change to a quarter shape over time. Then you re-shape it or get a new tip and the play of your cue changes. By keeping your tip the same shape at all times, you can install a new tip and it will play the same.
Thus a quality tip shaping tool is needed. I don't think seyberts carrys the following shaping tool (might want to in future?), but it is good in that you can hold up the edge to your tip and see if the tip need re-shaping or not. So no guessing. Also I find that the sandpaper works best with Moori tips, especially when initially shaping a new tip. (The razor blade shaping tools I bought for initially shaping a tip tend to dig into a Moori tip, but work fine with other tips.)
Sandpaper shaping tool nickel or dime...

FYI - I found the web site of the manufacturer of the above shaping tool. This was not easy to say the least....
Anyway it is called "Nivecraft" and here is their site...

Parrothead,
have you tried the Moori Power tips? They are meant for breaking, but would be hard. I bought a lot of 10 tips for re-tipping and got 2 Moori Power tips in the lot. Will let you know whenever i install one for someone.

Thanks Tanar I would appreciate hearing how they hit. I had seen the P's for sale on ebay, but I was a little leary putting a breaking tip on a cue and not having a back up.

Parrot,
I finally installed a Moori Power on a cue. It went to my buddy and he played with it in league. First break, 4 balls and an ERO. He says it spreads the balls very well, has a great feel and apparently is a very quiet hitting tip. He tends to break near center table on the head ball. I will be trying it out on the weekend when we go to a tourney, so i will put up my own feedback on Monday. Cheers.
