Something just appeals to me about using a Cuetec fiberglass cue to break with...... maybe because I can let other people use it too, and not worry about it getting too fukked up since it's fiberglass.
However, are metal joints normally better for breaking?
there are some good threads and posts around this forum about breaking cues and what to look for in a break cue, let's not waste space with repeating things.
p.s any cuetec cue will be a decent break cue.

I already read all of 'em.... I figured that the forum could always use some nwe posts..
Why do I get this feeling that you are in some kind of a race to become a "pool god", relax, you'll get there in 23 posts :)

LOL..... pool god here I come..... hehehehe....
It's too bad that they don't have a special name for the 1,000 post mark, because THAT's something special!

I've got an old Viking, with a new shaft since the old one died.. I use that for breaking, and I love it..
As for the Cuetec's... If ya get one and it feels good for breaking, then go with it.. Cues that are specially designed for breaking does not mean they will feel right for you. Takes some experimenting really.. Metal Joints are probably better for a break stick, for obvious strength reasons.. Also, dont be fooled into thinking a heavier cue is better for breaking. Quite contrary, a lighter cue makes a better break cue typically. Just think about the physics.. What could you swing into motion with more speed, a bowling ball, or a base ball??

Working in a soup kitchen, helping raise money for cancer research, working with Special Olympics, that is doing something that is special. Sitting at a computer offering up post after post with out saying a thing is not something special, merely annoying.
dags,
don't tell your wife, but you're right :)

Jeebus, they couldve just added things like "pool titan" or something, instead they just upped the count.

Perhaps Seybert's should rank by word count rather than postings. That way posters who had something to say would be recognized. One well thought out, 100 word response, is worth more than all the "lol" posts or the "really lmao" in this forum combined.
Any way, thank you Seybert's. I am a humble sort of man and was uncomfortable with the pool god designation anyway and asked some time ago that that it be removed from my profile.

Whatever dags!! I have to agree with your wife on this one... On this forum you are the real pool god anyways!!! Way more so than I....
From your posts, and Skor's I have learned a great deal about playing the game... And from New Kid I have learned a lot about the different quality and makes of cues... I of course am grateful to everyone who participates, but you three have taught me a lot...
Just for your information, The rankings is just something fun I guess. When I first started the forum, I had no idea it would grow so well over the past few years. I noticed that maybe I had the rankings set to low when I first set it up so we raised them a bit. makes it look a little more spread out now I think.
Dags, if we went by word count, you would have been a pool god by your tenth post or so. Have a good one.

Dags, try to keep in mind that at the end of things, this is just a fun and friendly internet forum. We are not submiting articles to the NY Times over here :)
