View Full Version : loudness in pool hall
I play in a sports bar in N. Ca. it has 8 full size tables the only ones in 50 mi. while the tv's blair the local sports games, the crew at the front likes to turn the juke box up to roar. What is the legal acceptable noise level allowed for top level pool? thanks Toml300@hotmail.com
I am not familiar with the specific rules when it comes to "tournament" pool or competition in regards to noise level.
I'm at advantage while most of you all are not, since I am able to turn off my hearing aid/Cochlear Implant off when noise is too much for me to handle :)
You can always ask the owner/bartender to turn down the noise level for a period of time...doesn't hurt to ask. Most owners/bartenders are willing to help out in any way possible if someone askes. The power of compromise will do wonders :)
If all else fail..plug your ears and/or improve your thinking methods to filter out all the noise...just pay attention to the game :)
Good luck,

I use the soft foam earplugs...they are unabtrusive and seem to protect my hearing. You can get them at any sporting goods store or at any sporting goods section at wal mart or Kmart.....good luck and you need to protect your hearing. adios! Billy
