Questoin for Skor about tipping

Skor, you mentioned that you use a razor to install your own tips. Well, I'm thinking about ordering a Talisman M to stick on my Lucasi. I want more spin. :lol:

So, I cut off the old tip, glue the new one on with super glue gel, and then if I don't use any porper cutting tools (which would cost me extra money) and just use a knife/razor, do I stand the cue up on its tip and then cut downwards around the entire tip? Or do I just cut around the sides as the Porper tool would (and as peeling an apple or something).

both ways work, you got to go with what you are more comfortable with, cut a little at a time, you can always cut more but never cut less :)
I would suggest that you practice first with a cheap tip on an old cue.

I'm not sure that makes a difference but with a laminated tip I would suggest peeling the tip like an apple.

I does not make a difference, I used both methods on moori and talisman tips and I had no problems
