Pretty Lucasi cue or plain Viking for similar price?

Would you buy the Le-16 Lucasi for $140 (gorgeous cue), or a Viking that's not as pretty for $125? Both of these are on eBay and are both awesome deals.. I'm having a hard time deciding.

Replied in other post, but to add to that. I'd pay 300 for a not so pretty Viking over the 140 for the Lucasi.. :)

Another thing to keep in mind, as said many times on this board, the Viking is American made... :)

I would buy both..... goddamn... but then I would be spending around $250+ in cues in 2 days, lol, and I'm really not that good yet so I don't need a Viking + a Lucasi sitting there. BTW what do you think about this?

Well congrats on the new purchases.. I would not worry to much about being a newbie and dropping 250... If ya got the money and you aren't robbing a 7-Eleven for it, then why not?? It is good to experiment for yourself and see what you like best. As time passes you may find that switching out for a better tip, or a Predator shaft, may enhance your game too..

Here I am. I got the Lucasi in the mail today.. all I can say is WOW!! Feels much better than my old Cuetec split diamond. The shaft is about 10x smoother and this helped my long shots about 10x as well. I haven't chalked it yet because I'm waiting for my Viking to come in so I just sat there and shot for about an hour with a dead-center hit on the cue ball....

The hit is a little softer than my Cuetec which I like. I haven't really compared it to any other cue though so I can't tell if it's any better or wosre than other "decent" sticks.

honestly ive played with both and i prefer the feel of the Lucasi and hit but that is just me im nto sayign viking is inferiot just all presonal preference. Honestly i dotn care where its made as logn as it serves my purpose and does a good job at it .
