I think I opened a can of worms with my American made topic.
i believe in buying American just as much as the next guy but when you really get down to it most of the products made in the USA are assembled from parts made outside this country including your Chevy Camaro.
Most GM,Ford and Chrysler parts are made in Mexico or Canada.
All I meant to say was just because its made here dosen't mean its better quality so stop waving your flag and face the facts.
I was in the Army in 69-72 and even our American M-16's were poor quality and we had to go to war with them.

lol... I'm not waving the flag because we do or do not make better product. I am waving the flag because this is the best Country to live in, period... Don't confuse the two topics.
I never said not to buy products made in another country. You are correct, many parts for American cars are made overseas. And to further that, did ya know Honda's are made and assembled right here in the USA, Ohio...
Let me clarify further my intentions and opinion. Where possible I will support US companies. If that means sacrificing quality, then no I will not. Where it means I may pay a little more, that IS however fine to an extent. In the case of pool cues, as said before, there are American companies that make great products at on par prices with other companies of foreign descent.
If there is some factual evidence that disproves anything I have said, please provide me with them so I may consider for myself their validity.. :)
Additionally, as a Veteran I am curious... Why would you want Americans to stop waving our flags???
1. There is an industrial agreements between Japan and the U.S. In general that agreement states that Japan has to buy American products in the same value of the Japanies products that are being sold to the U.S.most japanies cars that are sold in the U.S are built in the U.S and most American cars that are sold in Japan are built in Japan, the car building thing is to buypass that law, so when you buy a Toyota, you are buying an american car (Toyota Camry was the best selling "American" car in America for two years in the mid 90's)
2. The M-16 was a new gun in those days, it was developed to meet the environment of Vietnam, A gun that is water proof was needed so they came up with his one to replace the M-14 that was used from wwII untill the Vietnam War, The M-16 is much more accurate then the M-14 or the KALASHNIKOV (known to the american public as AK-74), The only problem that I found with the M-16 (and it is a very known problem) is that it get stuck a lot, this something that never happens with the AK-74, the Israelis have developed a gun that combined the M-16 with the AK-74 and it's called GALIL, now this one kicks ass, it's water proof, sand proof and you name it, It will never get stuck no matter how dirty it is.
We are talking about cues here not cars, totally different.
