I'm 110% for buying American made products but just because a cue is made in America dosen't give it superiority over one made in the Far East.
If this were the case there would be far less Hondas and Kia's on the road.
This is not the 1950's when the products made in the Far East were usuallygarbage.
Its the new millenium and most of these cues if not all are machine made and if layed side by side unlabled with American made cues more than half the people on these boards would not be able to tell the difference.
I'm not saying be unpatriotic and buy foreign goods i'm saying don't just knock something because its not made in this country.

PS
I bet half the the BUY AMERICAN crowd in these rooms are driving foreign cars using Jap phones and watching large screen Mitsubishi TV's

Any country can make great cues, as well as junk cues. Just so happens though we have several companies that make great cues at a highly competitive price as opposed to cues made in another country. Actually American made cues do have a history of being of superior quality.

Given the choices, and the price considerations, there is not reason NOT to buy an American made cue such as a Viking or McDermott.

FYI: I happen to drive an American made car, Chevy Camaro. I do own many Sony (Japanese) products, as well as some other overseas products. Fact is, Sony makes better electronics than any US company at better prices. This however is NOT the case with cues, nor every single other product out on the market.

Ya, i have nothing against the rest of the world and their products, but when it comes to pool cues i think the US has so many good companies at such good prices i dont see why you wouldnt buy from them. And all 3 of my cars are american by the way, and a sweedish one of the way.

There are a lot of low end cues that come from out side of the U.S.A and they give bad name to a very large industry, there are some great cues out there that can bit Viking or McDermott, to name a few:
Mezz - Japan
Longoni - Italy
Vollmer - Germany
Musashi - Japan

Buy good quality, regardless of where it's made, and it will force good quality to be produced! Captalism...works everywhere it is tried.

You can't beat the quality of American made cues.
