Last weekend I put a Kamui tip on my Predator 2 (314 shaft). So far I really like this tip. They've taken the Moori tip to the next level.
I had a LePro tip on my shaft when I bought the cue, so there is quite a difference between the two tips (since the Kamui is laminated).
I had the tip put on at a City Tournament where a cue craftsman had set up shop (with his custom cues, lathe etc.). He said he had done tons of Morri tips in the past, but this was the first Kamui tip that he had seen. When he was shaping it on the lathe he was very impressed with the consistency and feel. He thought it was just on the "hard" side of "medium".
I don't have lots of experince to base my impressions on as I am a fairly new player (returning to the game after years of absence), but it's definitely easier for me to move the cue ball around. I can draw the cue ball further with less effort and I can get drawing action on long shots where the object ball is much further away.
Also I like the response/feel better. I'm not sure how to explain it, but I get a more solid hit, or more feedback from my cue tip's contact with the cue ball.
I'm not a Kamui sales rep, just a guy who wanted to experiment and try out a new tip. So far, I'm really glad that I did.
I think Kamui only has one distribution point in the US (other than maybe Ebay). Here is the website URL where I ordered my tip; http://www.cuesupply.com/Tips.htm and here is Kamui (US) site; http://www.kamui.us/info.htm. Here they explain what makes their tips different from other laminated tips.
