I selected Vodka that is my first choice for really getting in on.. But in reality I often stick to beer.. I've found I stay a bit more sober if I do that.. Vodka is for when I got a DD or a place close to stay...

I like Tangle Ridge rye (whiskey to the non-Canadians in the crowd) and diet coke. I can drink that all night long.

I love the slew of new beer commercials. The Guinness with the two scientists talking about the creation of the six pack. But even better is the tangling Bud and Miller are doing. Bud's line of "Choose on Taste", has now been turned by Millers "Thanks for the Endorsement".

I cant wait to see what Bud comes back with, it will be wity I am sure. They have traditionally had the best marketing.

Years ago alcohol companies "Voluntarily" pulled their hard liquor ads from US TV. Of course we all know there were more than chivalrous reasons. I am wondering how long that will last. I see some makers trying to creep their way back in now.

So to add to this thread, what is everyones favorite TV beer commercial? I say TV because I know EVERYONES favorite radio ones will of course be Bud's Real Men of Genius and Real American Hero line-ups.

I do not know if this drink is common in USA or anywhere else but in Ann Arbor, Michigan at Diamondbacks...it's an awesome drink..it's called 8 Seconds Ride (I think) and it has like 6 or 7 whiskey combined and it is YUMMY....

They also do the 8 Seconds Ride at Midnight....4 people drawn from a bowl...and then these 4 people have exactly 8 seconds to drink all that whisky stuff from a fish bowl sized (Medium rounded). If they get all the booze gone in 8 seconds or less..they get a t-shirt that says "I did the 8 Seconds Ride and I kicked ass!" or something..it's pretty kewl. My best friend has 4 *laughs* She took my place since I was the DD. Damn :)

Yeah, I'm one of those life of the party gal :) I go in to the bar around 7 or 8....and usually is the last one to leave (Still walking on my own and wanting more drinks anyways) hehe

That makes for some long nights from the sounds of it Deb! I know what those are like, but those days are mostly in the past. Now that I am an older dude, 28, I spend a lot more time just shooting pool and talking than drinking. :D

I used to drink a LOT when I was working construction. We would meet at Clicks parking lot at 7am and take one vehicle to the job site. Get back around 7pm and hit the bar. Typically would drink until 2am and help close the bar (Change taps, weigh liquor and kegs, whatever the girls didn't like to do) and then get home for a few hours of sleep to do it all over again...

I'm right in your age group too...I'll be 29 in August.

Most of the time I drive my friends home because I steal their keys and tell them that they threw it away (they believe it every single time...go figure).

Most of the time when I get a buzz ...it's usually at home for couple reasons: 1) Cheaper 2) Safer 3) More relaxed environment.

That's why I'm lookin for a 7ft pool table for the dining room :)
