Hopefully some one can give me a hand with this one. The tip keeps coming off my Bunjee Jump Cue. The Bunjee tip is extremely hard and the cue jumps better than any jump cue I’ve tried before. I’ve tried several different brands of glue and that doesn’t seem to make a difference. I’m very careful about removing the old glue and roughing the surfaces before putting the tip back on.. Perhaps I need to try a few different tips and see if I can find one that works as well as the Bunjee tip but will stay on the cue. Any suggestions on glues or tips would be appreciated.
the best glue we have found is Duro Super Glue Gel. Not all "super glue gels" are made the same, so get the Duro Brand. Most any hardware or walmart type store.
I've had my share of problems with this. Between two cue makers i now found what works ----- SLOW DRYING EPOXY------
Watch out for super glue especially with extreme force. the glue shears leaving glue left on both surfaces

Resurrection! LOL
I am going to be installing a phenolic tip on my break cue this weekend. Thanks for the tip about the DURO Super Glue Gel, I will make sure that I go out and buy that exact glue to use.

This is a good resurrection though. You have displayed your ability to use the good ole search functionality that some people fail to ever implement..
You have reached the next level grasshopper.. ;)

Watched that AGAIN at the office today.. Watched it with the Lost Tape Audio track.. That sucked!!!
go with the superglue gel.
put some superglue on the tip, then let it dry. then reglue both the tip and ferrule.
it makes it much easier to attach phenolic tips to the ferrule.
When I got my jump cue, the phenolic tip came of after several jumps, I glued it back with 3M super glue gel and I had no problem since, that was over a year ago, I use this brand for all tip replacing.

I used Duro Super Glue Gel, so far so good! I have used it about 30-40 times in the past two days and no problems!
wow that is a lot of glue.

LOL, sorry I didn't specify that I used the CUE 30-40 times in the last few days rather than the glue!

I have a friend that uses J&B weld just for phenolic tips. He has installed tips on both his jump and break cue.
