I was wondering are pool table slates 2 peices or 1 peices? because im looking to get a table and our house is not small but the stairs going down to our basement go in a 180 degree turn. So u go down one set of small stairs turn left into a door then there is another set.

Now i know for a fact a pool table slate would not fit threw that door as 1 peice lol.

Oh and any1 have a website where i can look at how a pool table is made? that would be cool

Here are some generalizions. A bar box has a one piece slate and other tables usualy have three piece slates. The cabinet sides are usually four pieces but some are assembled as one piece. If you are considering a nine foot table the you may have sections of the cabinet that are nearly 10' in length. The legs are detachable.

Ya im considering a 9foot table. Do the tables u see on t.v for example would those be 1 peice slates? i mean if it is peiced slate does that mean when a ball goes over the seem its going to bounce or move off line?

You could always use the right angle table to go around your stairs!!!!

The only talbes I know of that have 1 piece slates are the Valley bar boxes, everything else will come in the 3 piece. The 3 piece slate table are far superior because each piece can be leveled and bolts to the frame, the one piece slates are floating.

definatly go with the 3 piece i know your concerned that 3 pieces wont be as flat as 1 whole piece but trust me ive had both 1 piece and 3 peice and the 1 piece one sucked. It started to warp when we finally got rid of it.
