Is it possible to order a Viking cue with a stronger taper? If so what kind of options are there and what would it cost?

Im not sure about viking providing one but obviously you could get a predator shaft. That is what i did.
yes you can. This is called the euro taper and will cost $50.00 on top of the shaft price.

The Predator shaft is a long ways from strong taper.

You are dumb. He's talking about the predator Z shaft not the 314. The Z has a very strong taper

lol, we can tell that was not you. You are a bit more articulate with your wording than to use "You are dumb."

I can also tell you it wasn't me I have way to much respect for Dags.
However i thought that that predator had a stronger taper in general. I knew the Z did but maybe I am the one who is a little confused here.
When you say stronger taper do you mean stiffer shaft? if so would that create more or less deflection? I am under the impression that the predator has less deflection? man if this isn't correct than im a fool. this is the main reason i bought my 314.

Check out the Schuler website. It gives a good explanation of shaft tapers and the relationship to the feel of the hit.
