McDermott makes a fine cue, but the Predator is the better choice here IMO.

Six to one/half a dozen to the other. Both are quality products.
the butt does not realy matter when it comes to production cues, the shaft is what makes a difference, the question that you should ask yourself is what type of joint do you prefer? since the Mcdermott M2K-5 comes with a 3/8 x 10 pin that screws into the wood and the predator comes with a uni-loc joint
I would like to put a Preditor shaft on my McDermott. Can I? Do they make one to fit my threads? What are my threads? Its a Harley Davidson Series. HELP ME!

Call seyberts up and they will answer all of your questions. But in short, yes they can match a predator shaft to your cue.
