ordering a retapered 314 shaft

Predator site says one can retaper the shaft down to 12.25mm from its original 12.75mm. If I order a 314 shaft from Seyberts and want the shaft to be retapered to 12.5 or 12.25mm, how much will this extra service cost for Seyberts to have this done with your own repair guy ? How much for this if I want Seyberts to ask the predator company to be the one to do the retapring ?

It will cost $35 to have it sized down by our local cuemaker. Predator does not do any of the custom work. They state that it is possible, but never stated that they do their own custom work.

can your local cue maker taper it in the manner that 314 shafts are tapred ? What I mean is contrary to what is written that 314 are 15 inches pro taper, the actual taper starts at 12.75 for the ferrules and then the taper grows slowly little by littlle from the ferrule down 15 " and NOT a constant taper of 12.75 for 15 inches , a micrometer or caliper would easily prove this and a friend of mine told me this was also something he learned from Predator themselves. It not pro taper neither is it conical (like a snooker taper ) but somewhere in between . So to retaper it at 12.5mm means the ferrule is 12.5 mm then the wood shaft starts at 12.5mm but the taper then starts to grow gradually from there down 15 inches of the shaft like actual manner in which a standard 314 is tapered
Can this be done for only $35 ?

Yes he can do that exactly what you said...for $35 dollars. When you want the work to be done, you have to specifically say how you want it to be completed and so forth.
