Where can i get a extension for my poolcue? I´m absolutely worthless with the rest. I have never seen anyone playing with a extension in pool, but there must be somebody who manufactures such an item, right?
Do Seyberts sell extensions that would fit a poolcue?

mezz cues has extension for their cues that is srewed to the bumper,
as for the extra weight, this something that you realy want to avoid on a break cue

I use a Mcdermott with predator 314 shaft. What I´m looking for (i think) is a extension in a type of hard plastic that i can just thread on at the back of the cue butt, so I dont have to use that horrid rest :x

currently ranked about nr 60 in Sweden, I´ll probably run 3-4 out of 10 racks in 9-ball.

I checked out the extensions on cuetec and mezz homepage. both of them is screwed on the bumper which i can´t do on my mcdermott. I need an extension that I can just thread on to the back of the cuebutt. More suggestions?

check http://www.parris-cues.co.uk/home.html, john parris makes the best snooker cues and he has telescopic extensions.

I believe it is Zac cues that will actually build an extension into your cue so all you have to do is twist the butt and it will extend and lock in place.

BTW instead of getting an extension, why don't you practice and learn to use a bridge, I can play with a bridge almost as good as with out it.

Yes I know I should practice more with the bridge. Can´t find the right feeling with it. I always end up to long or to short and out of position. With a 10-15 cm extension I think I would be able to reach all over the table.

I agree with Skor, use the rake, as it is correctly called. You will get some shots where you will need the rake to "bridge" over a ball right in line with the cue ball where you won't be able to get your bridge hand close enough to get to the shot even with an extension.

MECHANICAL BRIDGE. (General) A grooved device mounted on a handle providing support for the shaft of the cue during shots difficult to reach with normal bridge hand. Also called a crutch or rake.

REST. (Snooker) The mechanical bridge

It doesn't matter how you call it, it's how you use it :)

Ok, guess I have to start practice with the mechanical bridge, even though its pretty boring :?

In swedish: "kratta" = rake

I like that Tony Ryan extension. I don't use an extension because my arms are like an arangutans. Occasionally I do need the bridge when I flubbed my positioning of the CB. If you are a sawed off butterball like Nikki Benish you might consider using both. Also to help with your bridge use, this helped me out tremendously, is to get the bridge about 6 inches or less to the CB. This worked for me to stop miscuing and getting much better draw.

On a whim I bought one of the Tony Ryan's. I didn't have a chance to use it until the other night. It saved a very important shot. One I dont think I could have made with a bridge becuase I had to put some wicked english on the CB. I guess I thought I'd use it more than I do but when I need it I am pleased. This time it really was the difference in winning that rack and losing it. Just thought I'd put in my $.02 worth.

Bring back straight pool!

Sometimes all it takes is one little advantage to go your way. Especially on a professional level, you can be playing so tight to your opponent that it's a very fine line between winning and losing. :?

I ordered one of the tony ryans a while ago. I like it. Every time i break it out, i get asked by several people to try it. Like the other guys on the forum it has saved more than a few racks. :D
