View Full Version : Why No Rubber Feet On Instroke ??

The choice to go with the rubber feet on the new Talisman cases is a real plus I think. I have had my instroke cases (I own three) all fall off a prop up at some time or another because the hard plastic feet just don't grab unless they are on carpet.

Any thought to moving to rubber feet on the Instroke cases? Thanks John.

My Giuseppe has metal rivet-looking feet. While durable they would be slippery. But I usually store the case under the table I am playing on. No one can walk off with it, and it wont fall over, it is already on it's side!

Yeah, I looked at rubber feet a while back, before Talisman as a matter of fact and with all the other crap going on I just never implemented it. That is one thing that Talisman has done better than Instroke. IF the feet stay on that is. I got a Talisman in my hands a month ago and the ruber feet pulled away from the bottom with ease.

Anyone can modify their Instroke for a few dollars and a trip to Home Depot. I even put the bumpers of house cues on one case for a guy in a wheelchair. It takes five minutes.

I will make the request to the factory to start using rubber feet. One thing we had considered was a custom rubber bumper, like a big pad.

I hope they move to do it soon.

PS. If you wanted to be really fancy and really protective then you could get some of the spray on rubber grip stuff that they sell for tool handles. Just spray that on the bottom and rubberize the whole thing.

That would work great I bet, the spray on rubber.

John,

Thanks for the tips. I'm not a tool kind of guy. The only things I purchase that say "some assembly required" are my pool cues and I can typically figure out how the two ends go together...LOL.

How could I replace the plastic feet with rubber ones? Are they screwed in? I haven't looked.

I shoot pool while someone else finishes my basement and mows my grass!

Must be nice! But that is cool if you are able to arrange for more pool playing time like that. If I could that is what I would be doing as well since I love the game so damn much!

HEY NOW!!! I'm not only the hair club president! But I'm also a client!!

It is going, I have my hair buzzed pretty close in that pic. I have let it grow out a bit more since, but it is inevitable. It is going to go bye bye...

There are worse things to lose though.. :)

Such is very true! At least we're not old enough that it is time to start looking at viagra or levitra! :o

If the hair loss is from rubbing against the headboard than that's ok.

We have a blast all the time. With the exception of Friday and Saturday nights, the place only has regulars. All very serious players, but most everyone has great attitudes. We rarely have any problems there at all. We have parties for every occasion we can think of. And we are a pretty tight group. Most anyone seen in the pics hangs out with each other outside of Clicks.

It was a great find for me. The unfortunate part is it is about 45 minutes away from where I live. So I spend a lot in gas. I typically shoot there at least 3 times a week. Last night I was there and helped close, did not get out till 3am. So I was dead driving home. Thats the only bad thing. Good thing is, I dont pay for pool, as well as other things at times, and I always have a place to crash if I am too beat.
