View Full Version : Predator Shaft on a Pechauer Cue

Hey Sid! What is the standard diameter of the Predator shaft that will be custom fitted to a Pechauer if I order one? Is it the standard 12.75mm? How come the extra shaft options only has 13 mm, with 12.75 mm entailing an extra shaft. Does this only refer to Pechauer extra shafts and Predator extra shafts are always 12.75 unless otherwise specified?

I meant "with 12.75mm entailing additional costs"

I think you'll love having a Predator Shaft on your Pechauer. The Predator Shaft comes standard at 12.75 mm. Having a 13 mm one done for a Pechauer is simply a matter of preference. Personally, I went with the 12.75 mm 30" Predator Shaft.

The process involves having Seyberts fit a Pechauer joint insert on to a Predator blank shaft because Pechauer now has their own custom 5/16 14 joint. Your Predator Shaft will also fit on a Schon or Joss and some other cues using a standard 5/16 14 joint. However, the Schon shaft or Joss shaft will not interchange with the Pechauer.

FWIW......the Pechauer shaft plays extremely well by itself.

IMHO......Pechauer has the best cue for the quality of craftmanship and value for the money of all the cues that Seybert's sells. Putting a Predator on it simply gives you the qualities of less deflection on the cue ball. As far as I am aware, Seybert's is the only place in the USA that offers the Predator Shaft as an immediate option on the Pechauer. And the Pechauer Ivory Collection is a Seyberts exculsive line of Pechauer cues that offer more cue for the buck.

Stay in stroke......and good luck

I just check out the options and your right, I have it a little confusing up there.

The Predator shaft only comes at 12.75 mm. So, if you wanted a extra predator shaft at 13mm, it could not be done.

On the flip side, the Pechauer shafts only come at 13mm. Anything different would require our the cue maker that we use for custom options to turn the shaft down for us. Hence the extra charges on different shaft diameters.

Viking is the only compay that we deal with now that will turn the shaft down to most sizes for free.

Thanks for your response Bill, we appreciate your encouragment..., that and the fact that you saved me some typing... :D
