Looking for a good cue around that price range and i think both of these LOOK nice and are made my good comapnies, of course itll all come down to what feels best, but what would YOU get for that price range, and which of the two would you take?
Thanks,
Zach

Zach . . . . . Both of the cues that you’re considering have excellent reputations and I’m sure that you would be pleased with either one. However, if I were in your shoes I’d give some serious thought to a Predator sneaky pete for only slightly more money than the Pro-J or Vm-2c. For that small increase in cost you get the 314 shaft which is widely rated as the best shaft available at any price!
I’ve been shooting with the SPJLW for awhile now and think that it has absolutely great feel! The SPJLW has been such a good performer for me that I’m about to order an SPWU from Seybert’s - - - wanting to try the feel of the wood-to-wood joint.
Even though I’m an old fart that has only been shooting for about 18 months after a fifty year layoff, I can still feel the difference in the hit with the Predator shafts! If you don’t like it, then take advantage of Predator’s/Sebert’s 30 day return policy.
Good luck and enjoy your new stick,
-Nick T.
I'm with Nick, if you are going to pass the $300 bar for a cue, make sure you'll have a predator shaft on it :)

I have always liked my Viking cues, so I would have no problem purchasing another. And you can always order a Predator shaft to match your viking now, or at a later date if you decide you like shooting with a Predator.
If you have not shot with a Predator, I would recommend finding someone who has one and playing a bit with it befoe you shell out the extra bucks. You may not like it at all, and will have wasted a couple hundred bucks.
You likely wouldn't buy a 50 dollar pair of shoes without first trying them on to make sure they fit. So why spend 200 on a shaft you may not like at all..
Just my opinion..
