View Full Version : Saying the name
This may be a silly question but I'm curious. What is the correct pronunciation of Pechauer? I have heard it said a couple of different ways. Thanks.

Man, last time we had this same thing on the old board it was "Pek hour". Any time I hear anybody pronounce it differently I "had been" correcting them like I knew what I was talking about. :? :o
Now Elvis, might I direct your attention To this post on the old board? (http://130.94.173.243/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=474&highlight=pronounce)
How was Vegas?

Thanks Sid, that certainly cleared things up for me.......NOT. The answer on the old board was "pech hour". My name is Chris so the CH is pronounced like a K. To clear things up once and for all would it be like the fruit (peach), or peck?
Going to Detroit in May with the wife and kids and still trying to explain why it is we need to make a small detour through Coldwater. Jeri likes to play pool but for some reason she thinks I may have a problem called an obsession. Hope we can stop by!

Sorry, Vegas was good. I was there on business but got to go out at night (and on into the morning hours  ). Didn't get to play pool as I did not take my cue with me but when I landed in Omaha I drove straight to Sioux City for the State VNEA Pool Tourney. First time it has happened to me but they lost my luggage so I was really glad I did not take my cue! What a week!
Oh man, you got me. My spelling sucks. Yes, like the fruit, Peach. I get to typing and anything seems to come out.
Sorry about that. I stand corrected
Yea, come on over. That would be great. Actually I imagine you would come over using the Indiana toll road out of Chicago that runs right below us. We are in the middle of the state of Michigan only 15 miles from the Indiana border. The toll road is only a couple of miles from the Michigan line. Take I69 north for about 20 minutes and you are there. Of course if you were flying, that would make it closer, but not necessarily better. Probably only about 35,000 feet away from us. :D
