Extra shaft for Viking cue

My friend has a Viking VM8 and he has been wanting to get an extra shaft for it. I know the best way to go about it is send it in but he is really against the idea. The joint trim is not a big deal to him (would be nice but not necessary) so I have some questions.

1. Can he order it from you without sending the cue in?
2. Are Vikings pretty easy to match up a shaft as far as diameter? (I realize may not be perfect)
3. What would the cost be for just a shaft? (looks like $90 but want clarification)
4. If he decides he wants the joint trim to match would he be required to send it in? (if you look at the one pictured on your site the light tan squares are green pearl on his cue)

The thing is that Viking doesn't garuntee anything unless the cue is sent in to them, there will still be a warrantee. You can order this shaft from us for $90.00 plus shipping with out sending in the butt, but we can not garuntee the fit or the ring work.

For instance, say you have a Viking vm34 and you order a shaft from us saying that it is a standard cue. You receive the shaft in the mail from Viking and you notice, when unpacking the shaft, that the color is completely different and for some odd reason the shaft doesn't screw on. Now you are mad and you want Viking to pick this up freight free and fix this for you.

Since you did not send this in you will have to pay for it to go back to Viking and whatever other charges may apply. This is why Viking doesn't garuntee anything, unless you send in the butt to them and they match you up a shaft perfectly. Then if you have any problems Viking will be more than glad to fix anything for you and will even pay for the shipping as long as you don't chalk the cue.

This is the worst case senarial butt it could happen, that is why Viking or we can't take the chance.

But I have sold plenty of shafts to those who don't want to send the butt in and have had happy customers. You will need to double, triple check what exactly you want for sure and I will be glad to take your order. You can go to the Viking section on our site and pick out the cue you have.
