2nd Annual Crazy 8 Ball Single Tournament

If anyone is near Brandon, Manitoba, Canada the last weekend in February (28 & 29), we are holding a triple knockout singles 8 ball tournament.

Entry fee is $45 CAD.
Race to 5 A side
Race to 3 B side
Race to 2 C side

In case anyone is wondering, we had 42 players attend for a 1st place prize of $500. We had sponsors from Talisman Billiards, Cuestore.ca, American Cowboy Billiards and the pool hall itself, Miss Q's.

There was alittle trouble with the brackets as any of you who have run tournaments may know that a triple knockout format is extremely complicated. We had one of the players actually draw thebrackets at about the 4th round and I will be building those brackets onto my computer. If any of you are interested, let me know as I could not find a triple knock out bracket anywhere on the 'net.

IMO, the triple knockout format is a great format. We took the last 16 players (8 from A, 4 from B and 4 from C) anddid a re-draw for the playoffs. Overall, I think it was a great tournament and we will be doing it again next year.
