I'm looking for a cheaper viking that has a metal to implex joint or metal to metal joint. Since most of the time the joint type is not listed, i'm having a hard time finding out which cues have which joints.

The easiest way I can think of for you to get what you want, simply goto the Viking website and find the cue you want. In the description about the cue it will tell you what the "standard" is. Another alternative for you is to ask the person you are purchasing the cue from what kind of joint it has.
the Viking section of our website will be the next to be revamped. We will include the joint information on each cue when we redo it. Sorry it was over looked in this version.
You have couple of options in this case. The first Viking cue with a metal to implex joint is going to be the VM30. Retail on that cue is $250. The first cue with a metal to metal joint is the VM23 which retails for $340.
If that is more than you wanted to spend then you can go to an authorized dealer like Seyberts and they can special order a less expensive cue with a metal to implex or metal to metal joint. There will of course be applicable charges for the joint change and a delay in shipping due to the fact that we would have to make the cue with the joint you specified.
I hope that my information is of some help to you.

Hi
I am using a VM30 and had it changed to joint 2.
Recently I noticed rust forming on both sides of the joint.
Is there anyway tat I can remove this rust permanently?
Sorry for sidetracking away from the topic.. :)
Cheers!
