shaft diameter

what should the shaft diameter be if i use this cue for breaks alot? It's gonna be a Viking VM2-D

I would leave it at the standard 13, although I use a 12.75 on my viking and I break with it with no problems and good breaks.

If one has a Viking cue, or any cue for that matter, with a shaft diameter small then 13mm, does that mean the ferrel and tip must also be smaller?

the ferrel and the tip are flash with the shaft, which meens they are the same diameter as the shaft (unless you like a mashroomed tip) :)
