My local pro shop just got in some Cuetec Sneaky Pete cues which seem to be about 1" shorter than a normal 2 piece. What I liked about the cue was the joint - it seemed to have a wood-to-wood joint.
Also, they had some cues marked Excalibur with Earl Strickland's signature on them. They were less expensive than the "Cuetech" Earl Strickland series, but I was wondering if they are of the same quality.
Also, if I bought a cue from here, would you be able to put a different tip on it, such as a Mori Medium?

As far as I know, Excalibur does not make an Earl Strickland licensed cue. There is a guy on E-bay selling these cues as well, but is trying to pass them off as Cuetec cues. I would be very wary about this cue. On the other hand, I could be totally wrong. Hopefully someone out there with greater cue knowledge can disprove me.

And to the latter question, yes Seyberts can put any tip you want on it....this is a great place to buy your cue and pool supplies....I can assure you the prices are good and the staff here will work with you on all your needs. Figured Sid would give me a discount next order if I put in a plug...
I am really appreciative of the kind words about our business, Thanks, but a discount, Well....................................

Excaliburs are made by Cuetec and are of the same high quality. Until recently they where identical in every way except for the name printed on the stick. The only modification now is that the Cuetec Smart Extension will not work on the Excaliburs. They are even shipped to dealers in a Cuetec box. The Excalibur line also has the Earl Strickland signature series. The signature series initially came out on the Excalibur brand name first.
Since the Cuetec name is better known here in the US the distributor gets a premium for those branded sticks but again there is absolutely no difference and on some models they even have the exact same color combinations.

Seybert's deserves the praise they receive. And I don't get a discount for praising them.

I find it hard to believe that Excaliburs are just Cuetecs for 1/4 of the price. How can that be?
It's called branding....
You pay for the name, not the cue..... both cues (and others...) are made in the same company (in china) using the same process and same materials, just different decals....
By the way, I've contacted the factory a few years ago and they told me that if I order a large batch, they'll even call it "skor" instead of cuetec....

I'd buy one just for the hell of it.
