Schon Cue Strke sounds

I've noticed when i stroke the cue ball the schon makes an odd hollow like ping sound is that characteristic of this cue :?:

That shouldn't be characteristic of any cue. Check to make sure the joint is tight, and that the tip and/or ferrule isn't loose. Another problem could be a loose weight bolt. Does the cue do anything if you shake it vigorously (while holding on tightly)?
